iNDiViDUALS celebrates the past in order to REconstruct the future

On Monday January 29 iNDiViDUALS GEN24 presented its REconstructed collection at the studio of Dutch catwalk photographer Peter Stigter. Backed by the promising statement: “We celebrate the past in order to REconstruct the future”

Built upon the framework of iNDiViDUALS heritage, GEN24 presented a collection that celebrates the brand’s past 23 generations. A variety of classic fabrics in different tones of warm colours such as deep red corduroy and yellow pinstripe were combined with robust beeswax coatings, copper sequins and comfortable knits, diffusing the tension between street style and tailoring. In addition to these pieces, GEN24 introduced five Sidekicks: functional add-on items, for both men and women, that revitalise already existing looks.

S/S 18 is a statement against conservative thinking

On Wednesday 21 June, iNDiViDUALS’ Generation 23 took over the Kohnstammhof to present their S/S18 collection. By turning classical items into exaggerated designs, their collection tells the conservatives exactly what they want to hear in order to awaken their senses.

The show opened with models covered in handmade plastic garment bags inspired by the thought of preserving and holding on to what is already known. The garments of the ready-to-wear collection look timeless, intentionally awkward and strictly masculine, to be worn by women. The collection contains tailored silhouettes in exaggerated proportions, featured in the most predictable colours like Patriotic Blue and Breathtaking Camel. A self-designed colourful print, based on the classical stripe, underpinned the generation’s optimistic view of the future.

iNDiViDUALS thanks all brands featured in the vintage looks. Brands that have influenced our concept and will remain to influence fashion as a whole.

A new year a fresh start, iNDiViDUALS is back!

We are happy to announce that on the 26th of September byAMFI studio will be launching The iNDiViDUALS, GENERATION 22, A/W 17-18 collection that embraces the question, ‘What are you doing at 3:00 am?’ With all these endless possibilities, expressing yourself in one way is simply not enough. Contribute to the chaos, because no matter where you are at 3:00 am, It will always be a moment of madness.

This collection is inspired by the contrast of the night; the roughness of the grunge movement and the festivity of the Roaring 20’s era. This contrast was formed by iNDiViDUALS’ new perspective, promoting the idea of luxury as ‘the ability to choose’.
